Strategic leadership

  • Championed the enterprise vision for practical AI-powered content discovery, building on earlier AI tagging initiatives.
  • Represented the needs of more than twenty brands, creative marketing teams, internal production groups, Clip Licensing, Legal, and business operations teams.
  • Partnered with Archives, Engineering, Product, Legal, Security, Operations, and vendor teams to define strategy, governance, approved use cases, and implementation priorities.
  • Led evaluation of multiple AI indexing platforms and selected Canto AI based on search quality, semantic understanding, scalability, and lower model-maintenance requirements.
  • Designed workflows connecting Paramount’s Media Asset Management environment to the AI indexing platform.

Leadership insight

Enterprise AI succeeds when it solves a real operational problem and fits naturally into the way people work.

By prioritizing accuracy, security, governance, workflow integration, and measurable business value, AI became a trusted productivity capability rather than an isolated experiment.

  • Partnered across Operations, Engineering, Creative, Production, and technology partners to design an end-to-end automated production workflow.
  • Connected various services via API including Airtable, Quickture, Adobe After Effects, Frame.io, Data Clay and cloud production services into a unified production ecosystem with a custom UI.
  • Established operational workflows, governance, user adoption strategies, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Focused automation on repeatable production activities while preserving creative oversight and editorial judgment.

Leadership insight

Successful workflow automation is not about removing people from the process. It is about removing unnecessary work from the process.

The most effective AI initiatives don’t replace creativity—they create more time for it.

20+

Brands and business organizations served through a coordinated shared-services model.

The challenge

Production media services had evolved independently across brands, facilities, technologies, and operating teams. This created inconsistent service models, fragmented ownership, duplicated capabilities, uneven governance, and limited visibility into enterprise priorities and performance.

Paramount needed a more scalable operating model that could support increasingly complex production requirements while improving consistency, accountability, collaboration, and operational efficiency.

Strategic leadership

  • Consolidated previously distributed teams and responsibilities into a centralized, multi-regional shared-services organization.
  • Defined a comprehensive service catalog spanning production media operations, cloud collaboration, archives, AI search, live and streaming workflows, review and approval, media access, and graphics finishing.
  • Established leadership structures, operating standards, governance, service ownership, dashboards, KPIs, executive reporting, and performance-review processes.
  • Developed managers and emerging leaders while clarifying accountability across teams, facilities, technologies, and client groups.
  • Expanded organizational scope and service capabilities without requiring proportional headcount growth.

Leadership insight

Centralization creates value only when it improves the customer experience.

The objective was not simply to combine teams. It was to build a connected organization with clearer accountability, stronger leadership, consistent services, and the ability to scale as business needs changed.

Transforming Cloud Collaboration & Distributed Production

Paramount

Led the transformation of production and post-production collaboration by connecting facilities, cloud platforms, on-prem servers, remote teams, and external production partners through scalable distributed workflows.

The strategy reduced dependence on physical media movement and facility-specific infrastructure while creating a more flexible operating model for creative collaboration, remote production, and business continuity.

The challenge

Production teams needed secure, reliable access to media and creative tools across locations, but many workflows remained tied to individual facilities, local infrastructure, and physical content movement.

As production became increasingly distributed, Paramount needed a consistent way to connect teams, facilities, cloud environments, and external partners without compromising performance, security, governance, or operational support.

Strategic leadership

  • Prepared production teams for remote and distributed work by moving critical workflows toward cloud-accessible and remotely operable environments.
  • Developed collaboration strategies using tools including LucidLink, AWS, Adobe Frame.io, Signiant, Aspera, Wildmoka, remote-access tools, and connected production platforms.
  • Connected production environments across New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Studio City, Washington, and remote locations globally.
  • Established onboarding practices, access controls, storage quotas, security standards, governance, and user-support models.
  • Led facility transitions and workflow migrations while maintaining continuity for active productions and creative teams.

Leadership insight

Business continuity is strongest when it is designed into the operating model before a crisis occurs.

Because the workflows, tools, and support practices were already moving toward remote operation, the organization was better prepared to adapt when distributed work became an immediate business requirement.
